Lucky Powder Coating

Powder Coating Is the process in which you spray a positive charged colored powder onto a negative charged item. Using Static, to hold the powder to the item. Then it is cured in a oven at a set temperature, around 400F. Letting the powder melt and bond with the item "Flow". After the item "flows" you then let it cool to its final finish! This process is environmentally friendly!

How its done!
I Take the Extra Step's to make sure its done right!
Step 1.
Each item is cleaned with a degreaser.
Step 2.
Inspect Each item for anything that can melt or get damaged in the oven.
Step 3.
Sand Blast each item with 100 Grit Aluminum Oxide to remove rust or anything on the surface. This also creates a etched surface for the powder to hold onto.
Step 4.
Clean the surface with compressed air and denatured alcohol.
Step 5.
Slow Preheat / Out-gas to 410F. This allows the pores to open on the metals and lets gases out so you don't get bubbles in the powder, and allows the powder to have a stronger grip.
Step 6.
Allow Item to slowly cool down to around 190F (Slow cool allows the item to keeps its strength)
Step 7.
Apply Powder Coat while item is still around 150F-190F so the powder has a better hold.
Step 8.
Bake/Cure the powder in the oven at a set temperature around 400F until powder starts to "flow" Around 10-15 Min.  Check the Item temp. Once it has reached the cure temperature around 400F shut down oven and crack open to let it slowly cool so the item holds its strength.
